Automatically changes the gamma and temperature of monitor.

LightBulb is a free and open source application that change the gamma and temperature of your display based on the time of the day.

The main reason for an application such as this is to reduce eye strain and create a more relaxing experience in front of the computer. Based on the time of day, it will follow the position of the sun and add a more orange hue as the sky gets darker. The transition is a slow fade.

There are multiple setup options with LightBulb from the settings menu. Here you can customize the time of sunset and sundown by manual configuration or you can use location-based detection to have the program do it for you.

Some other options available in LightBulb are gamma polling, gamma smoothing, application whitelists to disable color changes and a number of adjustments of brightness and color temperature.

All in all, LightBulb functions perfectly and highly recommended for people that spend too much time in front of a computer monitor.
